Issue Position

Tom believes that government should be financially responsible and have a balanced budget. As we have all learned, when the government borrows money they can't repay and spends money they don't have, there are long term consequences which impact us all. Tom also feels that education is the foundation for success of all children. He believes that we need to teach and reach children in order to enable them to be productive, successful members of society. Tom also believes that property taxes on our homes should be eliminated. As it stands now, we work hard and attempt buy our homes, however, we never really own them because we must pay property taxes on them forever in order to keep what's ours.
